Looking at heading on out to Homebush to watch the weightlifting.  Events are running after hours also.  Anyone interested in coming along let me know.  Will be going down after work one night to watch!

Hey Simone

We went today & saw the 40-49 women's lifting. Some excellent lifting – good technique and strong athletes. But also obvoius srtrong women who are either new to lifting or just can't get the technique. The biggest lift we saw was a Venezuelan woman in the 75kg class who snatched 82kg & C&J 96 (she nearly got 100kg), both new records.

From the look of some of the Eastern European men watching they should be worth the watch. They look like they've been lifting their whole life & there are some big boys there.

I'd like to get there for another look but it's unlikely till at least later in the week if at all.
