There are a couple of us heading out to Olympic Park tonight to watch the World Masters Weightlifting. Anyone interested feel free to come along.
Held in the “Southee Complex” at Sydney Olympic Park all day however we shall be out there from around 6-pm. Entry is free. Mens division age brackets 35-39 and 40-44. On till late (ends around 10:30pm)
As expected the British Army were a tough, fit, well drilled side but we took it to them. With the wind favouring them they were only able to lead 3-0 at the break. After the break we scored two uncoverted tries to their one to take it to 10-8 our way.
Unfortuantely our scrum collapsed on our 5 metre line and they pushed over for a converted try to take it to 15-10. We tried hard forthe next 10 minutes but with desperation creeping in were unable to capitalise on the meager possession we had.
Our mission before the game was Win or, if we lost, leave them hurting so they would remember the day they played us. Judging by their body count on the sideline after the game I’d say “Mission Accomplished!!”
Thanks for your support during the games guys and I’ll see you back at the box tomorrow morning.
